Shahid Murtuza

Biography

Shahid Murtuza is a Principal at EY-Parthenon, where he helps clients drive growth, profitability, and sustainability in industries spanning chemicals, materials, industrial products, and consumer goods.

His client engagements have addressed a variety of strategic topics, including growth strategy and business model innovation, operating model design, R&D transformation, merger integration, and commercial due diligence. Among recent engagements, he has helped clients develop and implement strategies to transition their product and packaging materials to more circular and sustainable value chains.

Previously, Shahid worked in the Chemicals & Energy practice at Roland Berger, where he was a founding member of the firm’s Boston office. Prior to Roland Berger, he worked in product and process R&D at GE Silicones and Momentive Performance Materials.

Shahid holds an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School, where he was a Dean’s Scholar and Dean’s Fellow. He also earned Ph.D. and B.S. degrees in Chemistry from Penn State University and the University of Michigan, respectively. He performed post-doctoral research at the University of Chicago.
