Biography
Omer Farooq is a Managing Director within the Global Sustainable Finance Group (GSFG) in Global Markets. Omer leads the Clean Energy & Power team within GSFG, which is focused on originating, structuring, and syndicating investment opportunities in the alternative energy and transitional energy sectors.
Omer joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch 14 years ago and has a strong background in structured finance transactions across asset sectors. Omer graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and holds Series 7, 63, and 24 certifications.
Recently completed transactions include investments and capital placement for projects across alternative energy sectors including: residential, commercial and community solar, utility scale wind and solar and electric vehicle sectors.
Omer has taken a leadership role in environmental financing in line with Bank of America’s public commitment to invest $300 billion in low-carbon business by 2030.
