Mike Fortier

Biography

As Spin’s Sustainability Manager, Mike leads the company’s holistic sustainability strategy to reduce emissions through electrified operations, renewable power, lower manufacturing impacts, and aggressive mode shift away from private automobiles. His experience with corporate and product sustainability gives him a unique perspective that helps advance Spin’s efforts to reduce the environmental impact of its operations and micromobility vehicles. Prior to joining Spin, Mike worked as an environmental program manager at Apple where he led efforts to improve the sustainability of the Mac product line. Mike also previously worked as a sustainability consultant at Arup, where he helped clients from all sectors develop and enhance their sustainability programs. Mike holds an M.S. in Sustainable Engineering from Villanova University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester.
