Biography
Michelle Bolas joins NCI after serving as chief innovation officer at UNC-Chapel Hill and executive director of Innovate Carolina, where she led the University’s innovation strategy. She brings 25 years of experience working with higher education, business and industry, and government leaders to design and develop comprehensive environments for creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship to thrive. For the past ten years she also led UNC’s Innovation Roadmap, working closely with leaders, faculty and students to imagine and implement new programs and initiatives that have significantly increased the impact of Carolina innovations.
