Lukas Brun

Biography

Lukas Brun is Managing Director of Research and Economic Development for E4 Carolinas, the trade association for energy companies and energy-related organizations in the Carolinas. He manages federal grants investigating the future of alternative fuel vehicles, advanced nuclear technologies, green hydrogen, and clean energy grid hardware in the Southeast. Prior to joining E4 Carolinas, Brun worked for a decade at the Global Value Chains Center at Duke University where he led economic development research for governments, foundations, and international development organizations, primarily utilizing a value chain perspective. Lukas received his Ph.D. from the School of Public and International Affairs at North Carolina State University, M.P.A and M.A. degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill, and a B.A. in Economics and B.S. in Political Science from Texas Christian University.
