Laurel Tincher

Biography

Laurel Tincher is Co-Founder of Pull To Refresh, an ocean engineering company developing solar unmanned vessels for growing and sinking seaweed and enabling the expansion of the ocean economy. She is also CEO of SeaBrick, a company making buoyant, seaweed-based, carbon negative construction materials to replace concrete and steel in marine infrastructure. She has previously worked with various marine infrastructure companies including Blue Frontiers, Ocean Builders, and Deep Blue Institute spearheading sustainability, business development, and marketing initiatives.

Laurel holds a BA from the University of Southern California and an MA in Sustainability from Hawaii Pacific University. She was recently named one of the top 50 global design thinkers and her work has been featured in Bloomberg, MIT Tech Review, The New York Times, and more.
