Genevieve Marti

Biography

Genevieve Marti is a sophomore from Charlotte, NC, majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in French at UNC Chapel Hill. Her interests include urban planning, sustainable textiles, and agriculture. She is specifically interested in how to increase public transportation in local communities, innovative methods to manufacture materials from ethically sourced places, and cell-based alternative proteins. Gen is currently in the Sustainable Triangle Field Site where she is conducting research into the Urban Heat Island effect on Chapel Hill’s campus. As a CleanTech summit intern, Gen is enthusiastic about meeting industry professionals in the agricultural and textile industries.
