Brian Bartholomew

Biography

Brian works at the intersection of batteries and electricity markets for REV Renewables, a developer of clean electricity infrastructure. At REV, Brian ran market operations and built the asset optimization platform for the world’s then-largest standalone energy storage portfolio. He now focuses on strategy and analytics supporting development of the next generation of REV’s battery projects.

Outside of REV, Brian teaches a class on energy modeling at NYU. He is also a fellow at the Clean Energy Leadership Institute, which brings together top young professionals across the industry. Prior to his current role, he wrote about power markets at BloombergNEF, Bloomberg’s primary research group covering the energy transition. Brian started his career at the Natural Resources Defense Council in Beijing through a Princeton in Asia fellowship and with the Fulbright program in Taiwan.

Outside of work, he enjoys volunteering with Minds Matter, making charts and memes for Energy Twitter, and avidly supporting his favorite soccer team, Tottenham Hotspur. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with degrees in Economics and Political Science.
