Ali Clary

Biography

Currently working as a marketing coordinator and research consultant in the Raleigh area, Ali is passionate about discovering and implementing sustainable practices in the textile industry. Growing up on a farm in Rocky Mount, NC, she quickly learned the need of incorporating efficient sustainable alternatives. As a graduate of NC State University, she earned her a Bachelor of Science in Fashion and Textile Management with a concentration in Brand Management and Marketing.  After undergrad she decided to continue her education and earn a Master of Science in Textile Technology Management with a focus on consumer behavior. Ali has extensive research experience ranging from new materials in footwear, digital ID, and retail take-back programs. Past research has been funded by NC State, the Sustainability Consortium and Target. Her current research is focusing on traceability and transparency.
