In the News: UNC researchers receive $61M grant to identify effective treatments for asthma

IE’s interim director, David B. Peden, MD, MS, is a co-principal investigator of a new study that will use precision medicine and “big data” analysis to identify more effective treatments for asthma attacks.
The five-year study is being led by Anastasia Ivanova, PhD, associate professor of biostatistics at UNC’s Gillings School of Global Public Health. Co-principal investigators include David Couper, PhD, clinical professor of biostatistics, and Peden.
