December Updates: IE Cleantech Corner
December 5, 2021Green hydrogen is the focus of an entire track at the 2022 UNC Cleantech Summit on March 29-30. Cleantech intern Yutong Qiu shares a blog about this clean technology. Her article provides uses for green hydrogen such as steel production and transportation. She notes that vehicle models that run on green hydrogen have the potential to enter the market, as a hydrogen fuel cell is two to three times more efficient than an internal combustion engine that uses gasoline. In fact, Toyota is the first to mass produce hydrogen fuel cell cars. Even more recently, green hydrogen fuel has entered the aviation industry and ZeroAvia is one of the companies in this field that will be represented at the 2022 Clean Tech Summit on March 29-30, 2022. https://ie.unc.edu/clean-tech-post/hello-green-hydrogen/
