Víctor Marcos Morell

Biography
Víctor is an industrial engineer by the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM, 2010) and member of the High Corps of State Industrial Engineers since 2016.
Víctor became Director for Renewable Energy and Electricity Market at IDAE (Spanish Renewable Energy Agency) at 2020. His responsibilities include managing two important parts of the Recovery and Resilience Plan: renewable energy and renewable hydrogen (more than 4,5 billion Euro of public investment expecting more than 16 billion of total investment). He is in charge too of sectorial planning and prospective activities such as self-consumption, offshore wind, marine energy, and biogas strategies. In general, he supports the development of the renewable energy sector in Spain either to companies or the public sector in general, including EU regulation proposals.
Víctor has been in very different positions in the renewable energy industry, including risk analyst in charge of national and international projects at consultancy firms and a medium size bank; and manager of a solar power Spanish company office in Mexico during 2013 and 2014 (including the opening of the office and the operational activities).
In the public sector he has been involved since 2017 in the planning and prospective works for the Spanish energy sector towards 2030 and 2050 (net zero) in the General Directorate of Energy and Mining and the Cabinet of the Secretariat of State for Energy.
