Biography

Mr. Tim Tetreault is a senior project lead in the Integrated Applications Center of The National Renewable Energy Laboratory, a national laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. He is currently on detail with the Department of Defense as the Energy and Water Program Manager for the Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP). ESTCP is DoD’s environmental technology demonstration and validation program. Under Mr. Tetreault’s management, ESTCP has approximately 65 active demonstration projects of technologies with application to military installation energy and water use. Technologies demonstrated through ESTCP range in complexity from HVAC and lighting components to integrated devices and controls for microgrids. The ultimate goal of the program is to transition successful technology to implementation and regulatory acceptance. Mr. Tetreault has a M.S., Mechanical Engineering, University of Colorado, Boulder and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, University of Colorado, Boulder.
