Steven Tulevech is a junior at UNC-CH studying quantitative energy systems, computer science, and information systems. His primary career interests include energy modeling and analytics as well as renewable project development.  Steven is an executive project leader in UNC’s Renewable Energy Special Projects Committee (RESPC) and has helped implement projects such as electric vehicle chargers, building LED retrofits, and an intercampus green fee collaborative. He recently studied in Thailand for seven months, where he worked as an energy consultant assessing industrial green buildings for certification. During this time, Steven had the pleasure of becoming lead author on the first life cycle assessment for any net-zero industrial building. He believes distributed renewables coupled with low-energy buildings can offer a less disruptive approach that still strengthens sustainability and reliability of electric
