Philip Sparling

Biography

Philip Sparling is a freshman at UNC-Chapel Hill from Charlotte, NC, studying computer science and environmental science with a focus in quantitative energy systems. Passionate about using technology in sustainability, he is particularly interested in solar and green hydrogen in improving renewable energy access. Additionally, Philip is eager to explore the intersection of agriculture and food security, learning about innovative solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve the industry’s resilience. Through his internship at the summit, Philip aims to gain hands-on experience and knowledge through professionals in clean energy and sustainable agriculture.
