Biography

Milton Vaughan is the Agronomist and ESN marketing Manager with Nutrien and Crop Production Services and is a true believer that agriculture has the responsibility to feed the world.  He presently serves a dual role with Nutrien and Crop Production Services (CPS) in the Eastern US Region where he markets Environmentally Smart Nitrogen (ESN). His role includes direct sales, marketing and coordinating research projects at agricultural universities with Nutrien’s Loveland Products line in conjunction with ESN.

 

Milton helped develop precision agriculture technology and GPS sales and marketing programs with Trimble GPS for 21 years in conjunction with various positions at Topsoil Precision Ag, IMC Agribusiness and Royster Clark. He also farmed full time in Hertford County for 18 years on a farm hallmarked by conservation and no till practices.  Prior to that, Milton was a sales manager for chemical and application equipment.

Milton received his Master in Plant Physiology and Crop Science from NC State University.  He has a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy also from NC State University and an Associate Degree in Science from Chowan University.

 

In 2014, Milton received Agrium’s (now Nutrien) “CEO Award” in Marketing.  He is a past President of the North Carolina Small Grain Association, serves on the NC Farm Bureau Beef Cattle Committee and is an active member of the Hertford County Farm Bureau. Milton resides in Murfreesboro and is a member of the Meherrin Baptist Church.
