Biography

As Sustainability Director for Self-Help Credit Union & Ventures Fund, Melissa acts as internal advocate and consultant for improving the financial products, operations, and buildings portfolio of this national Community Development Finance Institution. She led Self-Help to realize over $1.7 million in net present value from initiatives in this sector in the first two years of building the program there. She takes a role in clean energy finance, energy efficiency investments, and operational improvements – all with a lens of social equity. Melissa previously directed the residential energy efficiency and indoor air quality research program at Advanced Energy and worked in industrial pollution prevention at RTI International.
