Biography

Mark Tracy is the CEO of Cloud Agronomics.  He has spent the majority of his career at the intersection of food, finance, technology and public policy.

For over 20 years, Mark has served in leadership roles at Cargill, as well as Indigo Ag.  While at Cargill, Mark and his team empowered farmers globally through the creation of new financial tools to help them manage risk, and also managed an institutional sales team working with public pension funds, foundations and endowments. Mark led the effort at Cargill to use distributed ledger technology (the Blockchain) to create digitally traceable food.

Mark is Secretary of the board of Hope Hospice and Palliative Care of New England.  Mark co-founded Ocean State Innovate, a diversity and inclusion event to connect RI’s and spark transformative innovation. Mark is a named inventor on two US patents. Mark is the chair of the board of the Rhode Island Public Health Institute.

He is a Venture Partner for SeaAhead as well as Waterman Street Ventures.  Mark earned his Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University’s JFK School of Government in 2011 and a bachelor’s degree from Brown University in 1995.
