Julie Borlaug is Vice President of Communications and Public Relations at Inari, a flagship pioneering company born of an independent spirit and breaking new ground in transformational plant breeding technology. She is the granddaughter of Dr. Norman E. Borlaug. Previous to Inari, Julie was the Associate Director of External Relations at the Borlaug Institute for International Agriculture and handled strategic initiatives for Corporate Relations within AgriLife Research at Texas A&M. Since the passing of her grandfather, Julie has worked to continue his legacy through developing agricultural partnerships between public, private and philanthropic groups to further the Borlaug legacy and agricultural research at Texas A&M and expand upon his mission to feed the world’s hungry. Julie received her BA from Texas A&M in International Studies and Political Science in 1997 and her MBA in Nonprofit Management from the University of Dallas in 2004. Prior to joining the Borlaug Institute, Julie worked in the nonprofit sector for organizations such as the Salvation Army, and the American Cancer Society as Development Director.
