Biography

John is an experienced energy finance professional with over eight years experience in providing financing solutions and strategic advice to the power industry. Over the past six years, he has been a part of the team that has grown the Siemens Financial Services energy portfolio from zero to in excess of $4.5 billion.

Over six years at Siemens, his responsibilities have shifted from managing the investment and structuring process to originating project finance transactions. In addition to deal management, over the past two years he has originated over $300 million in loans ranging from being the co-lead arranger for a wind transaction to participating in natural gas fired power plant construction / term loans to a corporate level term loan for a wind developer. John’s specialties include complex transactions involving the assessment of merchant and merchant / hedged structures with a particular focus on the ERCOT, PJM, and NYISO markets. Also of interest are renewable energy investments including unique wind financing structures, geothermal, and hydro facilities.

He earned a B.A. degree in economics from Colgate University and an MBA in finance from Wake Forest University School of Business.
