Biography

Jennifer Weiss is the co-director of the NC Clean Energy Fund. She was most recently the senior advisor for Climate Change Policy at the North Carolina Department of Transportation where she coordinated climate-related transportation activities across NCDOT and worked closely with the state’s climate and transportation experts to help inform North Carolina’s climate policies and programs. Prior to this role, Jen worked at the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions at Duke University on the Climate and Energy team. In this role, she focused on the intersection of energy and environmental policy, primarily in the electricity, financial, and transportation sectors. In addition to her energy and transportation work, Jennifer has over 13 years of consumer and small business banking experience and holds a master of environmental management degree from Duke’s Nicholas School of the Environment, a master of business administration from the University of Michigan, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at San Diego.
