Biography

Based in Charlotte, NC, James Lane is a Visualization Lead for HDR. Specializing in both architectural visualization and more technical Visual Impact Analyses (VIA) for environmental assessments (EA), Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and the like, James has served every business group and most all market sectors in HDR with visualization over the past ten years, including Transportation, Architecture, Water, Resources & Federal projects. James’ primary services include traditional still renderings & photosimulations, VIA, animations & video production, virtual & augmented reality and photography, and he is particularly interested in merging traditional VIA work with virtual reality and other 360-format deliverables for a more relevant viewer experience. James strives to maintain consistently high visual and technical quality standards, and he also leverages his skills as a professional photographer in his visualization pipeline and in particular with VIA work, ultimately yielding higher quality deliverables.
