Halle Evans

Biography

Halle Evans is a first-year master’s student in the Environmental Sciences and Engineering department. She previously graduated with her B.S.P.H. at UNC-Chapel Hill in Environmental Health Sciences.

Within energy, Halle is interested in data-driven policy decision-making where her research focuses on the decarbonization of the transportation sector. This interest was informed by her work experience at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and as a research intern this past summer at the Mobility and Vehicles Research Group in Bangkok, Thailand. This year, in addition to Cleantech and her thesis research, Halle is involved with multiple sustainability groups (i.e., No Coal UNC and Climate Crisis Committee) and a Bass Connections project at Duke University focused on the implications of a just energy transition for Cape Town, South Africa. As a summit intern, she is excited to meet industry professionals within the transportation and mobility sector focused on innovative energy technologies.
