Evan Fahringer

Biography

Evan is a current senior at UNC Chapel Hill from Graham, North Carolina and is a UNC IE Cleantech Corner initiative intern. He is majoring in Information Science and minoring in Sustainability Studies, and is passionate about the intersection between data, business practices, and sustainability. Evan has previously assumed multiple sustainability-focused roles, including working for a cleantech start-up, a sustainable marketing agency, and most recently with Volvo. At present, he is involved with SolarEquity, a student-operated renewable energy nonprofit.  In his second semester as a Cleantech Corner intern, he intends to engage and learn from established sustainability professionals, while gaining further understanding of the carbon market and its future impact on global sustainability.
