Biography

Dr. Douglas Cameron (Doug) is Senior Managing Director of the U.S.-China Green Fund. He is also managing director of First Green Partners, an investment firm he co-founded in 2011 to invest in companies with sustainable technologies for renewable and fossil carbon. Previously, he was a Managing Director and Chief Scientific Officer at Khosla Ventures and a Managing Director in the cleantech investment banking group at Piper Jaffray. Before becoming an investor, Dr. Cameron was director of biotechnology and chief scientist at Cargill, Inc. and a professor of chemical engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He director of the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR) and an advisor to several companies and organizations including the VTT in Finland and Sime Darby in Malaysia. Dr. Cameron holds a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University and a Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from MIT.
