Dave Schatz is an energy, clean technology, and environmental policy expert with over 10 years of experience in public and private sector roles. He currently serves as Director of Public Policy for ChargePoint, the leading global provider of smart, networked electric vehicle charging infrastructure, with over 39,000 charging stations in network, nationwide. In that role he covers Federal and State affairs, managing both legislative and regulatory engagement on electric vehicle policy. Prior to ChargePoint, Dave was Deputy Director for Policy and Electricity Markets for SolarCity, where he ran a portfolio of states for policy and regulatory advocacy on issues related to solar energy. Dave was a senior consultant in the energy practice of the Booz Allen Hamilton consultancy firm. As a consultant and a former Federal employee at the US Air Force, he worked across the U.S. Department of Defense to develop renewable energy and storage projects on public lands and military installations. Dave is based in Washington, DC.
