Darsh Gupta

Biography

Darsh Gupta is currently the Head of Commercialization at Sustaera, a direct air capture company he helped spin out in 2021, funded by Breakthrough Energy Ventures and The Grantham Foundation. A recent winner of the Elon Musk XPRIZE milestone award, Sustaera has already established early partnerships with Stripe and Shopify.  Sustaera is on a mission to restore the carbon balance with a goal to remove 500 million tons of CO₂ by 2040.

Prior to Sustaera, Darsh helped start Susteon in 2018 (Sustaera’s parent company). Susteon is a technology incubator focused on developing and deploying solutions centered around CO₂ removal and utilization and green hydrogen. His background includes 15 years of start-up and management consulting experience. He has an MBA from Columbia Business School and received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill. Go heels!
