Casey Reeves

Biography
Casey is currently the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management lead for projects both offshore Virginia and within the regional Carolina Long Bay areas shared by North Carolina and South Carolina and the project coordinator for the New York, New Jersey and Southern New England Ocean Grids. Casey has been with the BOEM for 8 years and has worked on projects from Boca Raton to Boston and has over 15 total years’ experience in energy and resource permitting and managing major infrastructure development. Before working in offshore renewable energy development Casey worked as a Natural Resource Specialist for the State of Alaska overseeing oil and gas permitting on the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System and then moved on to lead the Department of the Interior’s national land based wind program at the Bureau of Land Management, Renewable Energy Coordination Office. Before working in energy and infrastructure development Casey spent 8 years in the USAF serving around the world as a Crew Chief on both F-16 and F-117 tactical fighter and stealth aircraft.
Casey’s education includes an AAS in Aircraft Engineering from the USAF, BSc and MSc in Environmental Science and Management from the University of Maryland’s Global Campus in Osan, S. Korea and Misawa, Japan and an MPA from Clemson University.
