Brandon Hass

Biography

Brandon Hass is Senior Director, of Sustainability and Climate Indices at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). In this role, he is responsible for the commercial development of Sustainability, ESG and climate indices for North America. He serves as a subject matter expert in providing guidance to help form holistic suites of index-based capital markets products grounded in S&P DJI methodology and client preferences.

Prior to joining S&P DJI in 2022, Brandon spent over a decade specializing in portfolio strategy and investment advisory. He brings extensive experience in buy-side investment consulting and capital markets, having held senior positions as a portfolio strategist and investment specialist for one of the world’s leading wirehouses. Brandon is an acknowledged contributor to the Investments and Wealth Institute, having served on the expert faculty committee, writing and auditing investment consulting content for industry professionals. He currently sits on the leadership council at the Ackerman Center for Excellence in Sustainability within the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Brandon earned a BSBA from the University of Central Florida and an MBA with a concentration in data analytics from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He holds a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation from the Investments and Wealth Institute in partnership with the Wharton School, as well as a Charter Retirement Planning Counselors (CRPC®) designation from the College for Financial Planning.
