Praful Dodda has been a Ph.D. student at UNC Institute for the Environment and Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering in the Gillings School of Global Public Health since 2019. Praful is currently working on the development of a dispersion model specifically for aircraft emissions. Earlier, he worked on developing geospatial methodologies using machine learning and Bayesian maximum entropy principles for data-fusion of different air quality data products. Praful also worked on various projects using chemical transport models and dispersion models. Before joining UNC, Praful earned his graduate degree in environmental engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Praful participates in a hackathon or playing club cricket during his free time.
