Utilizing Research to Impact Environmental Policy in NC

The event will feature a panel of faculty and undergraduate students discussing how their research at UNC informs and shapes policy-decisions of the North Carolina General Assembly and state agencies in Raleigh, such as the NC Department of Environmental Quality. The event will also include networking time with information on how undergraduate students can get involved in policy issues and lessons learned from speakers during their career paths.

 

When: Thurs., Oct. 13 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (11:00 – 12:00 panel discussion, 12:00 – 12:30 career discussion, networking with refreshments)

Where: Toy Lounge, 4th floor of Dey Hall

Speakers: NC Collaboratory, UNC Institute for the Environment, UNC Department of Public Policy, UNC Environmental Finance Center
