The Sustainable Triangle Field Site offers students the opportunity to pair academic studies in the environment, urban planning, geography, health and related fields with practical experience delivered through internships, capstone research projects and field trips. Students incorporate into their UNC experience an understanding of how communities, industries, government and non-profit organizations work toward a sustainable future.
The Institute for the Environment field site program is coordinated through the Study Abroad Office of the College of Arts and Sciences in partnership with the Curriculum for the Environment and Ecology. For more information about the STFS, visit https://ie.unc.edu/education/field-sites/stfs/
