How we serve Teachers and Environmental Educators

We develop curricula and other educational materials for use with 3rd through 12th grade students and and offer professional development for formal and informal educators ranging from half-day workshops on a specific topic to year-long intensive teacher fellowship experiences.

Geoscience Teaching Outdoors in NC

Geoscience Teaching Outdoors in NC is designed to engage middle and high school STEM teachers and their students in hands-on, inquiry-based activities to support student learning about earth and environmental science.

IDEA Learners Teacher Fellowship

Iterative Design to Engage All (IDEA) Learners Teacher Fellowship Program is a long-duration professional development program for grades 9-12 science teachers to incorporate the science of PFAS into classroom instruction.

NC Energy Literacy Fellows

A year-long teacher professional development program showcasing current energy science, technologies and careers to enhance Energy Literacy Fellows’ ability to deliver energy-related content, conduct STEM-based activities and promote STEM career opportunities to students.
