The 3rd annual CMAS South America Conference was held Aug. 28 to 31 in Vitória, Espírito Santo, Brazil. The conference explored micro and meso-scale air quality modeling applications in the southern hemisphere and was organized by the Federal University of Espírito Santo in co-operation with the University of São Paulo and the Federal University of Minas Gerais. The week prior to the conference, Liz Adams, Sarav Arunachalam and B.H. Baek hosted a 5-day training program on SMOKE and CMAQ. The training included a combination of lectures and hands-on sessions using our training modules.
