img_3994In their December newsletter, the Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Partnership’s (APNEP) featured a collaboration with UNC-IE’s Environmental Resource Program (ERP). Over the summer, twenty 8th-12th grade science teachers spent four days exploring the sounds and the sea at the Trinity Center in Salter Path, led by ERP staff, Sarah Yelton and Dana Haine. Throughout the duration of the workshop titled, At Water’s Edge, participants learned about the latest resources for teaching watershed and estuarine science, and were provided with tools, activities, and proven curriculum including It’s Our Water and Project WET.
