Environmental Modeling

The Institute's Center for Environmental Modeling for Policy Development is a team of scientists and engineers - including collaborators from across the campus - dedicated to supporting sound policy-making through the development and application of advanced environmental software and models. Its clients and collaborators include government, industrial and academic professionals who use its services to generate and understand environmental information. Center projects include developing and implementing advanced air quality models, studying the effects of climate change on human health, and researching topics such as concepts of intercontinental transport of pollutants and their climatic effects, advanced meteorological models, and particulate matter and haze.
