Join Epsilon Eta, UNC s environmental honors fraternity, for a nation-wide pre-DVD release screening of the documentary No Impact Man! We will be presenting this film in coalition with the No Impact Project (NIP) and Center for a New American Dream (CNAD).

December 7th is the first day of the historic UN Climate Conference in Copenhagen, so to honor this event we are showing a film that seeks to address the role consumerism plays in our daily lives, and how it affects our individual environmental impact.
As part of the screening we will be providing free local and organic snacks! We will also be offering tips on how to reduce your environmental impact and holiday shop in a more sustainable manner. And on December 8th, we will follow up the screening with a live interactive online video chat.
Film Synopsis:
No Impact Man follows the story of Colin Beavan, who decides to completely eliminate his personal impact on the environment for the next year. It means eating vegetarian, buying only local food, and turning off the refrigerator. It also means no elevators, no television, no cars, buses, or airplanes, no toxic cleaning products, no electricity, no material consumption, and no garbage. No problem at least for Colin but he and his family live in Manhattan. So when his espresso-guzzling, retail-worshiping wife Michelle and their two-year-old daughter are dragged into the fray, the No Impact Project has an unforeseen impact of its own.
