On Wednesday, February 24, Environmental Resource Program (ERP) educators Megan Hughes and Neasha Graves coordinated twenty-two lead and healthy homes professionals from across the state in a quarterly Lead Advisory Committee and NC Healthy Homes Outreach Task Force meeting. The attendees provided local and state program updates before engaging in two presentations. Nicolle Tulve, US Environmental Protection Agency, spoke about a Green Housing Pilot Study that she is currently involved with, followed by a presentation from Jennifer Morillo, State Refugee Health Coordinator, who communicated about Lead Hazards in the Homes and Health Concerns specific to Recent Immigrants and Refugees. This meeting was hosted at the UNC Institute for the Environment and supported by funding from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.
