ERP_healthy homes workshopOn August 25, Environmental Resource Program educators Neasha Graves and Megan Hoert Hughes facilitated a Healthy Homes for Community Health Workers training for 25 social workers, nurses, public housing staff, and environmental health specialists in Charlotte.  As part of the training, participants completed a mock home assessment to identify hazards like lead-contaminated toys, pests, improper chemical storage, and mold.  In a role-playing exercise, participants also practiced sharing information on healthy homes and solutions for removing hazards from homes with clients, patients and/or residents.
